The Huntley History Alliance recently announced the winners of its photography contest, Then and Now. The Alliance consists of representatives from the Huntley Park District, the Huntley Area Public Library Local History Department, The Huntley Historical Society, and the Village of Huntley Historic Preservation Commission. These groups work together as the Huntley History Alliance to preserve and celebrate Huntley history.
Amateur photographers of all ages were invited to submit a vintage photograph of a historically significant Huntley area building, structure or landscape with a current photograph of the same subject. The current photographs were judged in May during “Look at Local History Month”. Winners were announced at the Huntley Farmer’s Market on May 23.
