Mission Statement

The Huntley Area Public Library is dedicated to preserving the area’s local history and making it available online to the community.

Working toward a goal of digitizing as much Local History collection material as possible, dedicated library staff will be regularly adding content to this website.

Our first project will be to provide a brief history of Huntley and the people who formed this community. Indexes of the information in our Local History book collection, files, and storage boxes are included.

In the future we will add and update obituary files document names with birth and death dates.

Please contact the library’s Information Desk at 847.669.5386 and press 3 with any local history questions.
