The Huntley Area Public Library Local History Department honors Huntley’s rich heritage in collections available on Illinois Digital Archives. There you will find digitized photographs, documents, and other records including the entire run of the Huntley Farmside Newspaper. These materials are available to all and preserve the information for future generations.

This collection highlights Huntley’s dairy and agricultural heritage. The collection was made available by the Illinois State Library, a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, by funds awarded through a 2015 Illinois History Digital Imaging Grant.

Huntley History at Illinois Digital Archives - The Huntley FarmsideHuntley Farmside Newspaper

The Huntley Farmside newspaper is featured in this digital collection from 1960 through 2000. The Farmside is a weekly Illinois newspaper providing news coverage on Huntley, Marengo, Union, and other local suburbs. High resolutions scans were made of the print archives of the Huntley Area Public Library with a grant awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided the by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
